# Raute

> Raute (raute.io, not affiliated with raute.com, the Finnish plywood-machinery company) is delivery management software for US delivery operations of every size, from a business with one driver to large fleets running several depots. It uses AI to extract structured orders from any text format (email, image, spreadsheet, handwritten list) and a production-grade route optimizer to assign and sequence stops across drivers in real time, with live GPS driver tracking and signature + photo proof of delivery. Self-serve plans cover up to 40 drivers; Enterprise has no driver or order limit and adds white labeling, custom integrations and custom features: when an operation needs something the product does not do yet, Raute builds it into the product for that customer. Used by couriers, DME / home medical equipment suppliers, pharmacies, bottled water dealers, food and e-commerce delivery, and a dozen other delivery trades.

- **AI Order Parsing.** Paste 20 orders from any format and Raute extracts customer name, address, phone, special notes, and time windows in seconds. Geocodes and validates each address. Replaces ~2 hours of manual data entry per 100 orders. Works with exports from systems like Brightree (DME), PioneerRx/BestRx (pharmacy), or any POS. No API integration required.

- **Real-time driver tracking.** Live GPS map of every driver, current stop, ETA, and status. Dispatchers see the whole fleet on one screen.
- **Proof of delivery.** Signature, photo, and notes per stop, GPS-stamped and timestamped, giving audit-ready documentation (e.g. for DME payer/Medicare claims or controlled-medication handoffs).
- **Customer tracking links.** Public URL per delivery with live map + ETA. No recipient login required.
- **Water route accounting (bottled water dealers).** Route days on a four week cycle, a standing order per customer, the driver's priced ticket at the door (bottles left, empties back, payment recorded as cash, check, card or on account), and posting the day, which moves each customer's bottles out and balance. Imports a Route Manager customer export with account numbers, route days, balances and bottles out. - **Free route check.** https://www.raute.io/route-check/ : upload yesterday's deliveries (CSV or Excel, address and driver per stop, in the order driven) and see, driver by driver, the miles and driving time the same day would have taken planned in Raute, and with the whole day re-planned across the same drivers. Free, no signup, nothing stored; addresses are placed with the US Census geocoder.

## Developer API

Raute has a public REST API on every plan. Account
holders create their own keys at https://www.raute.io/api-keys and each key
carries scopes: tracking:read, orders:read, orders:write.

What it covers: create, read, update and cancel delivery orders; read tracking
for an order including status, ETA, route position, driver, and proof of
delivery; list drivers and link them to ids in your own system. Orders can be
addressed either by Raute id or by your own external_id together with a source
name, so an integration never has to store Raute ids.
